Winter collection "Nightglow" 2024

"Night Glow" is a smaller collection that includes two original paintings with limited edition art prints.

The paintings have been created during the darkest months of the year and therefore have darkness as a common theme. But mainly the paintings are about light in the dark.

I have used a relatively small variety of colors than I usually use but have instead worked a lot with sharp contrasts, such as neon glowing northern lights, white snow-covered trees and burning red/orange sky against the dark.

The pigments I used and which I created myself are from ash from the wood stove when we visited Borgafjäll last fall, and birch charcoal from a fireplace just outside where we live.
