The painting is based on the natural area: Bjuröklubb, Skellefteå

Bjuröklubb is a beautiful nature reserve located by the sea outside Skellefteå. The place has a rich cultural history with interesting ancient remains and a rich birdlife. Wind-swept pines and firs grow between rock outcrops and shingle fields spread out around the place.

It is Bjuröklubb that I have based my work on when I painted the painting "Between Waves". Pigments of soil and stones from the site have been found, picked and ground down to color pigments that are used in the painting. Natural elements such as birds, forest and sea are painted with inspiration from the site, while I also had Laleh's song Bjuröklubb with me when I painted the painting. She sings about a blue whale that became a symbol in the painting – something large, peaceful and dreamy.

• Painted on cotton canvas that is treated with a transparent primer to preserve the canvas's raw, natural surface and structure.
• Pendant on the back
• Signed on front and back
• Certificate of authenticity included with description of all colors and pigments included
• Finished with a plant-based varnish that protects the painting against UV rays and enhances and preserves the colors

- Soil and stones picked around Bjuröklubb.
- Sand from the site as texture for the background
- Acrylic paint
- Details with oil pastel
